Your information, in plain language.
This page explains what Welcome to Humanity collects on welcometohumanity.net, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: very little, only to serve you, and we never sell it.

What we collect
Your first name and email address, but only when you type them into one of our signup forms, for example to get Fred's notes or the free Companion Guide. They are stored in the contact system we use to send email.
Anonymous visit statistics. We run Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, on our own server. It counts things like which pages are visited, which buttons are clicked, the country a visit comes from, and the type of browser and device. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not know who you are.
No ad trackers. There are no advertising pixels, no Facebook or Google ad tracking, and no third-party analytics on this site.
If you write to us by email, we have what you send, and we use it only to reply.
Why we collect it
Your name and email let us send you what you asked for: the guide, and a short note from Fred most weeks. The visit statistics tell us which pages are useful and which are not, so we can make the site better. That is all.
We never sell it
We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, ever. It is shared only with the services that help us run the site and send email, and only so they can do that job.
How to unsubscribe
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you are off the list. You can also just reply, or write to drfred@welcometohumanity.net, and we will take you off.
How to ask for deletion
If you want us to delete your name and email entirely, write to drfred@welcometohumanity.net from the address you signed up with and say so. We will delete it and let you know when it is done. You can also ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
Other sites
Some links take you to other sites, such as Skool, Zoom, Substack, Amazon or our booking calendar. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and what you share there is covered by them.
