001 — "Impossible" Goals with Sara Safari

The trajectory of Sara Safari’s life changed the day a seminar leader challenged her to take on a project so huge that it would be beyond her reach—something seemingly impossible. Sara chose to take on the quintessential impossible goal of climbing Mt. Everest. Standing at 5’4”, Sara didn’t own a pair of hiking boots, and had never even been camping. After failure upon failure in training, Sara eventually gave up and quit pursuing her impossible goal.

A chance encounter with a Professor reversed that; Sara declared “game on” with a whole new level of commitment and purpose.

Sara shares her truly inspiring and breathtaking journey—from impossibility, to realizing achievements and impacts that would be truly unbelievable...except they actually happened

On this inaugural episode of Welcome To Humanity, you will learn:

  • The power of being “used by” something bigger than yourself

  • What Sara faced as she hung from an ice wall at the Khumbu Ice Falls on Mt. Everest

  • Why Sara views “failure” as a positive experience

  • How to make challenging work feel effortless

  • The difference between pushing to achieve a goal, and being pulled by it.

  • How anyone can meaningfully contribute to the UN’s’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
