THH011 — Sally Alter: An Unlikely Hero Gets It Done with Curiosity
My guest is Sally Alter, writer of 5 excellent books and world traveler. She has had many roles in her storied life, including being a Nurse, a friend, and a cat owner. She has lived in several places, now in Texas, and was born and raised in the U.K. Although when I first met her, she wasn't sure if she was a "healer," it was clear that she had been a healer for many years and essentially couldn't help herself. As she states, her M.O. in life is to be a great listener and to actually take an interest in those she interacts with, and it is precisely this preference for human connection that makes her a pure healer in all of her dealings. She speaks first person about what it is like to be diagnosed with a mental illness and has several suggestions for those who find themselves there. In fact, I am substantially healed after our conversation, and I trust that you will be too! Enjoy!
